The Braughing Wheelbarrow Race was started in 1964 and takes place in the picturesque East Hertfordshire village of Braughing.
The race starts and finishes at the village ford. Teams of two push a wheelbarrow round a 400 metre course through the village streets with each person taking turns to push the barrow with the other team member sitting in it.
As the dust settles and the residents return to the ford it's time for a few thank you's. Thank you to all our lovely stallholders and attraction suppliers. Thank you to James for the fantastic photos of the day. Thank you to Mark for the sounds and the chat. Thank you Ruth for the superb Dog Show.
Thank you to all the individuals and companies that have generously supported us.
A massive Thank you to everyone who helped set up before the event, everyone who manned a gate or marshalled on the day, and all those that turned up on Sunday to litter pick, shovel sand and generally tidy up, you all know who you are and we really, really couldn’t have done it without you!
Thank you to the partners and families of all the committee members for supporting us - we promise no more wheelbarrow stuff until at least October!
And finally a huge thank you to everyone that attended, and everyone that competed, you all made the Braughing Wheelbarrow race 2018 the huge success that it was.
